Frequently Asked Questions
◉ Project Timelines
Timelines vary based on scope. A single-room design and fit-out typically takes 2–4 months. A full apartment (150–250m²) usually runs 6–9 months. A full villa (400m²+) typically takes 12–18 months from first consultation to final handover. We provide a detailed schedule at the start of every project and track it rigorously.
Key factors include: the size and complexity of the project, the speed of client approvals at each stage, any structural changes required, the lead times of imported materials or custom furniture, and building management requirements. We factor all of these into our initial schedule and flag any risks proactively.
In many cases, yes. We have the team capacity and contractor network to accelerate timelines when needed. However, we will always be honest if a target date isn't achievable without compromising quality — which we will never do. We'll work with you to find the best realistic schedule for your situation.
✦ Pricing & Fees
We offer clear, itemised proposals that separate design fees from execution costs. Design fees are typically charged as a flat rate per room or per square metre, depending on the scope. Execution costs cover materials, labour, and procurement — all quoted transparently with no hidden markups. You approve every line item before it proceeds.
Our minimum engagement for a full interior design service is typically projects starting at EGP 500,000. For turnkey execution projects, budgets generally start from EGP 1.5M depending on scope and finishes specification. We're happy to discuss your budget in our initial consultation and advise on how best to allocate it.
No. Your initial discovery consultation — whether in-person or virtual — is completely complimentary and comes with no obligation. We believe in earning your trust before asking for your commitment.
Payment is structured in milestones tied to project phases — typically a design retainer upfront, followed by procurement deposits and execution-phase payments as work progresses. The full payment schedule is clearly outlined in your contract before any work begins.
◈ Design Fees
Our design fee covers: the discovery consultation and briefing process, concept development and mood boarding, detailed space planning, 3D visualisations of all key spaces, full furniture and finishes specifications, technical drawings for execution, and unlimited revision rounds until the design is approved. It does not cover the cost of physical materials, furniture, or labour.
Yes, absolutely. We offer design-only services for clients who have existing contractor relationships or prefer to manage execution independently. In this case, we provide a complete design package — drawings, specifications, and material schedules — that any competent contractor can work from.
◇ Turnkey Services
Our turnkey service covers the complete project from start to finish: interior design, space planning, 3D visualisation, material selection, procurement of all specified items (furniture, fixtures, finishes), contractor coordination, on-site project management, quality control inspections, styling and accessories placement, final snagging, and handover. You hand us the keys to an empty space and receive a fully furnished, move-in-ready home.
Yes. As part of our turnkey service, we coordinate all trades including civil works (demolition, masonry), MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing), gypsum and false ceiling, flooring, painting, joinery installation, and FF&E installation. All contractors work under our supervision and are held to our quality standards.
Yes — we offer a design + oversight model where you appoint your own contractors but we provide site supervision to ensure quality and design intent are maintained. This works well for clients who have trusted existing relationships with specific contractors.
⬡ Revisions & Changes
We include unlimited revisions during the design phase — we do not move to execution until you are completely happy with every design decision. Once execution has begun, changes may incur additional costs (for re-procurement, contractor remobilisation, etc.) which we'll always communicate clearly before proceeding.
We understand that feelings evolve. If you'd like to make changes during execution, we'll assess the impact on timeline and budget and present you with clear options before anything changes. We aim to be as flexible as possible while protecting the integrity of the design and your budget.
✿ Site Visits & Communication
Your dedicated project manager visits the site a minimum of three times per week during active execution phases. For critical milestones — such as tile laying, furniture installation, or final styling — daily visits are standard. You also receive weekly video and photo progress reports.
Absolutely. This is your home. You're welcome to visit at any time — we simply ask for a brief heads-up to ensure your project manager is available to walk you through the progress. We encourage client site visits and find they strengthen the collaborative relationship.
We have extensive experience working with remote clients. We provide weekly video walkthroughs, real-time photo updates, and regular video calls with your project manager. All approvals can be given remotely, and we can arrange professional photography at key milestones so you can see your project in high quality from anywhere in the world.
